My Family Photo Session

This spring there was something in the back of my mind that was really bugging me. I felt like I could see my kids literally growing everyday, changing from sweet, precious little kids into smart and capable young adults. I realized that in just another year, or even in just a few short months, I’d probably only be able to see a hint of their remaining childhood in their beautiful faces. My oldest had already passed me in height many months earlier. I was overcome with an urgent need to do whatever I could to slow it all down and I decided that no matter what, I had to find a local photographer and book a session of my own for my family. It had been too many years since the last time I had portraits taken of my own family. I wanted photos of us all together and there was no way I could do that myself and get the types of beautiful photographs that I wanted.

A few months ago I did it. I booked a portrait session for my family with Kate Leigh Photography and I am so happy that I did it! I now have a lovely album of my own with portraits showing us all, as we are right now. It means the world to me that we can take a few minutes whenever we want to open the album and look through all of the beautiful photos. I am sure that when my kids are all out there making their may through the world as adults, the photos in the album will mean even more.

I also got to experience what it's like for my wonderful clients to be in front of my camera at their sessions. I feel like I’m now better able to do my job in serving all of you, and creating the portraits you want to help preserve your memories of this season of life. I got to experience what it’s like to look at a beautiful photo of my family and feel nothing but love and gratitude. Because of that I feel even more humbled and thankful that I get to provide my families with such an important and meaningful service.
