Personal Locations for Photo Sessions

Why I love personal locations for sessions...

I love it when my clients have a special location in mind for their portraits. While the local parks in our area are great options, using a place that has a personal connection to you really helps make your portraits your own. Using your own home makes for some truly unique and personal portraits. We can use the gardens outside your home or find nice settings inside. I really enjoy finding ways to use the spaces in which my clients live to create beautiful backdrops for their portraits. 

Using your own property is a wonderful option because...

... we are guaranteed to have it all to ourselves on the day of your session.
... we don't need permission to shoot there.
... if you need something, it's just a few steps away.
... we can easily move things around to use as props.
... you don't have to drive anywhere.
... it's nice and relaxing to be in your own space.
... if it rains we can just head inside.
... it's one of the most special places in your life and incorporating that into your session makes for some truly personal and meaningful portraits.
